King's Kaleidoscope - Come Thou Fount

[youtube=http://youtu.be/GI19MHPv1QA] Genre: Worship, Indie Rock, Orchestral

This song is taken from King's Kaleidoscope's Hymn EP, Aspah's Arrows. All rights belong to King's Kaleidoscope.

King's Kaleidoscope are a worship band for Mars Hill Church in Seattle. With this 4 track EP they have taken some of their favourite hymns and made them sound modern and fresh. The thing that makes this band unique for me is that they have a string-trio and a horns section as part of their standard lineup, which really makes them stand out from all the current modern rock worship music you hear these days.

Lyrics: Come, thou Fount of every blessing, Tune my heart to sing thy grace;  Streams of mercy, never ceasing,  Call for songs of loudest praise.

Teach me some melodious sonnet,  Sung by flaming tongues above.  Praise the mount! I'm fixed upon it,  Mount of God's unchanging love.

Here I raise mine Ebenezer;  Hither by thy help I've come;  And I hope, by thy good pleasure,  Safely to arrive at home.

Jesus sought me when a stranger,  Wandering from the fold of God;  He, to rescue me from danger,  Interposed his precious blood.

O to grace how great a debtor  Daily I'm constrained to be!  Let thy grace now, like a fetter,  Bind my wandering heart to thee.

Prone to wander, Lord, I feel it,  Prone to leave the God I love;  Here's my heart, O take and seal it,  Seal it for thy courts above.
